Budokan '78 (The Cheap Trick Tribute) - Bio

Over 30 years after it’s release, Cheap Trick’s live album, “Cheap Trick at Budokan” is remembered not only for completely defining the genre of American power-pop music, but catapulting the band from Midwestern favorites into global superstars. To this day, Cheap Trick crafts pop songs that are the envy of bands worldwide, but nothing can compete with the raw energy and power of “Cheap Trick at Budokan”.
It is with this in mind that four Rockford, IL natives formed the world’s premiere Cheap Trick tribute band…Budokan ’78. Growing up on the same streets as the one and only Cheap Trick, the members of “Budokan ’78”, were not merely influenced by their sound …they were completely immersed in it. The band has internalized the sound, the look and the stage presence of late ‘70’s era Cheap Trick and they recreate every detail of that experience live onstage. In fact, the band actually got a recent opportunity to perform with Cheap Trick’s guitarist, Rick Neilsen!
Budokan ’78 has one simple goal…to pay homage to one of the greatest American rock band in their finest hour. Don’t miss your chance to re-live the magic!
